Our client, a leading organization in the public service sector, is seeking an IT Technician 2-Network Support to join their dedicated team. As an IT Technician 2-Network Support, you will be an integral part of the Information Technology department supporting multiple locations across the Hudson Valley. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a proactive attitude, which will enable them to thrive within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Job Title: IT Technician
Location: Rhinebeck, NY
Pay Range: $21.00/hr
Shift: Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm
What's the Job?
- Provide frontline HelpDesk and IT support to users, resolving software, hardware, account access, and network issues.
- Support and demonstrate proficiency in Active Directory, Windows, ChromeOS, and Linux environments (preferred).
- Assist in the delivery and installation of workstations, laptops, printers, mobile phones, network equipment, cabling, and related hardware across multiple agency locations.
- Troubleshoot and debug hardware and software problems to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Perform administrative duties including documentation, inventory management, and providing telephone and video support.
What's Needed?
- High school diploma plus a college degree in computer science or related field, or 2+ years of equivalent work experience.
- Valid NY Driver's License with a clean MVR, capable of traveling using agency vehicles to various locations.
- At least 2 years of experience supporting enterprise or multi-site IT environments.
- Certification such as A+ is preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
