Job Description
PrideStaff is seeking an experienced Shipping and Warehouse Associate in Carlsbad, CA. Must have certified stand up forklift experience.
Position: Shipping & Warehouse Associate
Pay Rate: $22/hr
Hours: 6:30am to 3pm Monday through Friday
Location: Carlsbad, CA
Summary: Accurately invoice and ship all outgoing packages / sales orders through in-house accounting and shipping (FedEx/UPS) software systems
Shipping & Warehouse Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accurately invoice through in-house accounting system (D365)
- Accurately process shipments through FedEx/UPS systems
- Communicate with sales via email the status of sales orders, backorder status, inventory variances and order tracking
- Other duties as assigned
Shipping & Warehouse Qualification Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Must have shipping/receiving experience through FedEx/UPS shipping systems
- Basic computer knowledge
- Good organizational skills
- Good communication skills
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
FedEx & UPS experience shipping products
LTL Truck scheduling
Forklift experience. Truck style and stand-up picker
Inventory Control skills using D365
Receiving Experience
Basic computer knowledge
Minimum 5 years’ experience in shipping & receiving basic tasks.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as: picking sheets, bills of lading, emails and packing slips.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide. Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in work.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve complex problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Sets strategic directions and understands implications of decisions. Hands-on work style with willingness to work, both down, and across the organization. Must be proactive in defining new areas of improvement. Works on assignments that are complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations.
