Physical Therapist (Home Health / Acute Care)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and goals of care.
• Implement therapeutic interventions and rehabilitation programs.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, exercises, and recovery strategies.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Complete billing and coding documentation appropriately.
• Support clinical competency development and implementation initiatives.
• Assist with orientation and mentoring of new staff members.
• Serve as a clinical instructor for students when applicable.
• Exercise independent clinical judgment while managing moderately complex patient cases.

Required Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Physical Therapist License.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• 0–4 years of Physical Therapy experience preferred.
• Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and patient care skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Home Health experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in a large acute care or academic medical center.
• Experience using Epic EMR.
• Previous clinical affiliation with Atlantic Health preferred.
• Board Certification in a relevant Physical Therapy specialty is a plus.

Schedule & Additional Information

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• No weekend shifts required.
• Orientation Location: Morristown, NJ
• Coverage area includes the Morris County region.
