Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Our client is seeking reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to support daily warehouse, logistics, and material handling operations in El Segundo, CA. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely receipt, storage, and shipment of materials. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining organized, compliant, and efficient warehouse operations—especially when handling regulated or high-value materials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect for damage or discrepancies
• Accurately log and track inventory in internal systems; maintain real-time inventory accuracy
• Store materials in designated locations and ensure proper labeling and handling
• Pick, pack, and prepare outbound shipments in accordance with order requirements and carrier standards
• Generate shipping documentation (labels, packing slips, bills of lading, etc.)
• Coordinate outbound shipments with carriers (UPS, FedEx, LTL, freight providers)
• Track shipments and proactively resolve issues or delays
• Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks) safely
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant warehouse environment
• Support cycle counts, audits, and inventory reconciliation
• Follow all safety, regulatory, and internal protocols (including OSHA and any applicable hazmat guidelines)
• Collaborate with operations, procurement, and technical teams to ensure smooth material flow
  

Job Requirements:

• US citizenship
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical warehouse duties
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Basic computer proficiency (inventory systems, spreadsheets, email)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
