Associate Attorney

We are looking for an associate attorney to join our team. Our firm provides a client-specific legal service that provides our attorneys opportunities to develop and perfect various skills: litigation, motion practice, managing court rooms, trials, appeals, transactional work, estate planning, business planning, and more. Our objective is to help train and develop the highest quality legal team in our field and we provide the guidance and support achieve that goal. 

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in court in landlord-tenant and debt collection proceedings.
• Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, and handle trials.
• Perform legal research and writing for complex litigation matters and appeals.
• Advise clients on landlord-tenant and debt collection matters.
• Analyze and advise on fair housing issues. 
• Negotiate settlements for legal disputes.
• Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law.

​​Qualifications:

• You must be licensed as an attorney in the State of Michigan, or eligible for licensure in Michigan within 3 months. 
• Familiarity with legal research and writing
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Real estate and litigation experience preferred
• Self motivated
• Strong time management skills
