Glass Production Standards Technician

• Daily responsibilities include conducting Glass Line audits, inspecting Insulating Glass Units (IGUs), daily tests, remake glass checks, auditing insulating glass operations and equipment to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.
• Identify nonconforming units, initiate corrective actions, and communicate quality concerns to production and QC leadership.
• Ensure compliance with company quality procedures, standards, safety regulations, and customer specifications.
• Support continuous improvement efforts by analyzing defects, reducing scrap and remakes, and helping optimize glass manufacturing processes.
• Additional responsibilities as needed

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required. On‑the‑job training provided. Training includes equipment operation, work processes, quality standards, and safety procedures.

• Ability to understand English and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills for measurements and documentation.
• Ability to identify correct materials, profiles, and components.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate simple machinery and computer interfaces.
• Strong attention to detail and quality inspection ability.
• Ability to handle pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain accuracy.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others and follow direction from supervisors.
• Willingness to learn and operate multiple machines, trainable for various jobs throughout the plant.

• Fast‑paced production environment; some areas may involve heat or working with sharp materials.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and handle large pieces of glass.
• Must be able to operate equipment such as saws, welders, drills, screw guns, punches, and end mills (training provided).
• Required PPE based on production line or task:
  • Safety glasses
  • Hearing protection
  • Cut‑resistant gloves and sleeves
• Physical Demands:
  • Light to medium
  • Occasional: 20–50 lbs.
  • Constant: 10 lbs.

• 1st shift Monday–Thursday: 5:00 AM–3:30 PM
• Fridays: Overtime scheduled as needed.
