Job Title

Travel RN – Clinical Decision Unit

Location

Cape Girardeau, Missouri

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 hours per week guaranteed | 13-week assignment | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate, plan, direct, and implement the nursing process in the delivery of patient care within a Clinical Decision Unit setting
• Process a high volume of admissions including observation and inpatient admission patients
• Provide medical-surgical nursing care with a patient ratio of 1:4–6 in an 8-bed unit
• Float to any inpatient unit as needed per customary float requirements
• Work alternating weekends including both Saturday and Sunday shifts
• Maintain a team-oriented, patient-centered approach to care delivery

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of Med-Surg experience
• Current BLS certification
• Flu vaccination required (client-approved exemptions considered)
• Strong medical-surgical clinical skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with EPIC EMR highly preferred
• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience managing high-volume admissions in an observation or clinical decision unit environment
