Job Title: General Laborer
Job Description
As a General Laborer, you will be responsible for the installation of insulation materials on pipes, ducts, and other mechanical systems to control temperature and prevent energy loss. You will clean and prepare surfaces to ensure proper adhesion and effectiveness, measure and cut insulation materials to fit specific dimensions, and follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Additionally, you will assist more experienced insulators with various tasks.
Responsibilities
- Install insulation materials on pipes, ducts, and mechanical systems.
- Clean and prepare surfaces for insulation application.
- Measure and cut insulation materials to specific dimensions.
- Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Support experienced insulators with material handling, tool maintenance, and site cleanup.
Essential Skills
- Experience with hand and power tools.
- Valid driver's license.
- Familiarity with insulation and mechanical systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with insulating is a plus.
- Construction or general labor experience

Work Environment
Work in a typical construction site environment where safety is paramount. Required attire includes steel-toe boots, a hard hat, high-visibility clothing, and safety glasses. You must have steel-toe boots, a tape measure, red aviation strips, and small channel locks before starting.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
