Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

In this school-based position, you’ll make a direct impact by fostering the independence, motor skills, and overall well-being of students in collaboration with dedicated educators, families, and a multidisciplinary support team.

In this hands-on role, your expertise will guide students through individualized programs designed to enhance their daily living and learning experiences. You’ll have the opportunity to use your clinical skills in a collaborative educational setting, ensuring that students reach their fullest potential.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Active Virginia OT license or eligibility
  • NBCOT certification
  • Previous experience in schools is valued, though not required
  • Excellent ability to communicate and work within a team-oriented environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy according to each student’s IEP
  • Complete evaluations and assess students’ needs to set measurable goals
  • Customize and implement treatment plans for occupational growth
  • Partner closely with teachers, special education professionals, and families
  • Keep thorough documentation in line with district and state regulations
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings to enhance student support plans
  • Assist students in areas such as fine motor skills, sensory regulation, and practical independence

Schedule Details:

  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
  • Follows the academic calendar, including school holidays and breaks
