We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to support a construction business in Rockville, Virginia. This Long-term Contract opportunity with potential to move permanent is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping operations organized, communicating across teams, and handling a wide range of office and project-related tasks. The person in this role will help connect customers, sales staff, and field leadership while ensuring daily administrative work moves forward smoothly. There is also room for this position to expand into broader project coordination over time.


Responsibilities:

• Coordinate communication between customers, sales representatives, and field supervisors to keep projects moving efficiently.

• Manage incoming calls and greet visitors professionally while serving as an initial point of contact for client inquiries.

• Assist with project-related administrative work, including tracking progress, updating records, and following up on outstanding items.

• Prepare and revise contracts, process change documentation, and support general job file accuracy.

• Order materials and parts for active jobs and monitor delivery status to help avoid delays.

• Maintain organized office documentation through data entry, record updates, and routine administrative support.

• Support front desk coverage as needed and help ensure daily office operations run in an orderly manner.

• Previous experience in an administrative, office support, or receptionist role - specifically in construction industry is a STRONG plus.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities at once without losing accuracy or follow-through.

• Strong attention to detail when handling documents, communication, and project records.

• Comfortable answering inbound calls and interacting with customers with strong attention to detail.

• Data entry skills with the ability to keep information organized and up to date.

• Experience working in the construction industry is preferred.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and clients.
