Why Work Here?
Employees benefit from a comprehensive and competitive total rewards package that supports both financial security and long-term growth. The company offers union pay raises every year, performance-based raises, and multiple bonus opportunities, including quarterly and performance bonuses. Team members enjoy a strong benefits program featuring affordable medical coverage with a low deductible, as well as dental and vision benefits and paid time off. Retirement savings are strongly supported through the ability to contribute up to 50% of wages to a 401(k) plan with a 15% company match on contributions, along with a pension that includes hourly company contributions. As a long-established, family-owned business, the organization emphasizes stability, loyalty, and genuine care for employees, creating a workplace where hard work is recognized and rewarded.
Work Environment
The role is based in a heavy industrial scrap metal yard with a mix of indoor and outdoor work. The schedule is a first-shift position, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The environment is on the dirtier side, with exposure to dust, debris, and metal materials, and can be loud in many areas due to heavy equipment and machinery in operation. Approximately half of the work is performed inside a warehouse and half outside in the yard, where employees may be exposed to the elements; rain gear is provided for outdoor work.
