Job Description

This role supports pharmacy compounding operations in a controlled cleanroom environment by accurately picking, counting, and packing medical supplies and components. The Cleanroom Technician Level 1 follows strict quality, hygiene, and cleanliness standards to ensure that all pharmaceutical compounding orders are prepared safely, accurately, and in full compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Pick and count medical supplies and components for pharmacy compounding orders with a high level of accuracy.
• Accurately pack and label orders in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulatory standards.
• Work consistently in a cleanroom environment while following all gowning, hygiene, and cleanliness requirements.
• Read and interpret pick tickets, labels, and basic written instructions to complete orders correctly.
• Maintain organization and accuracy while handling sensitive medical supplies and components.
• Safely climb ladders to retrieve items from top shelving when required.
• Inspect products for accuracy, completeness, and damage prior to packing and shipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area at all times.
• Meet established productivity and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
• Support general warehouse and cleanroom activities such as inventory handling, labeling, and cleaning as needed.

Essential Skills

• Experience with order picking, packing, and warehouse packing in a production or distribution environment.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom or controlled environment while following strict hygiene and cleanliness procedures.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting pick tickets, labels, and basic written instructions.
• Experience using RF scanners for order picking, inventory, and shipping and receiving tasks.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate counting, labeling, and inspection of medical supplies.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, reaching, and climbing ladders for extended periods.
• Capability to maintain organization and accuracy while working with sensitive medical and pharmacy-related products.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment while meeting productivity and quality standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Background in medical assembly, medical production, or pharmacy-related work.
• Experience with general labor tasks such as loading, labeling, and cleaning in a warehouse or production setting.
• Familiarity with inventory control, inspection, and packaging processes.
• Exposure to shipping and receiving operations in a warehouse or medical supply environment.

Work Environment

The position is based in a cleanroom and controlled environment where strict hygiene and cleanliness procedures apply. Team members work on their feet for extended periods, including standing, walking, bending, and reaching. Ladders are used to access higher shelving when needed. The role does not require the use of a respirator. Work involves handling medical supplies, using RF scanners and related warehouse and packaging equipment, and maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant work area in a fast-paced setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Decatur, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
