This role involves performing commercial pipefitting and welding on new construction and renovation projects in the Tampa and St. Petersburg area. You will install and repair piping systems in mechanical rooms, with a strong focus on HVAC air handler installations and related piping work for commercial facilities.

- Plan the installation and repair of piping systems, including cutting, threading, and bending pipe to specified measurements.
- Lay out, assemble, install, maintain, and repair a wide variety of commercial pipe systems.
- Install and secure hangers, supports, and brackets to properly support piping systems.
- Install valves, couplings, and other pipe fittings in accordance with project specifications and codes.
- Perform pipe welding and brazing on carbon steel and copper piping systems.
- Thread and install schedule 40 steel pipe ranging from 2.5 inches to 8 inches in diameter.
- Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and project plans to complete installations accurately.
- Collaborate with other trade partners on active construction sites to complete coordinated installations.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Work Environment
You will work on large commercial healthcare projects at major hospital job sites in the Tampa and downtown St. Petersburg areas. The role involves both indoor and outdoor work in active construction environments, including mechanical rooms and other building areas. You will collaborate closely with other trade partners on site and are required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with work focused on the installation and welding of piping systems using standard construction tools and welding equipment.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
