JOB DESCRIPTION:

ElectricalControlsEngineerPURPOSE:
This position willbe responsible forthe Electrical Engineeringrequirementson some of the highest profile, most strategic projects across the entire Andersen Enterprise.Primary Role & Responsibilities
  • Controls Engineering DesignResource;
  • Perform Electrical / Controls / PLC Engineering designwork
  • Hardware controls design focus
  • Evaluate Controls / Electrical / PLC Engineering solutions toproblems
  • Write Machinery Control functionalspecifications
  • Documentation of Electrical Design changes
  • Capital Equipment / Equipment ProjectSupport;
  • Assistin the development and writing of electrical/controls functionalspecifications
  • Communicate Electrical Specs/Standards to prospectivesuppliers
  • Communicate and verify documentation requirements aremet
  • Evaluate technology sufficient to meetspecifications
  • Complete Electrical Portion of Safety Assessments
  • Create electrical/controls support plans for newequipment
  • Create modifications to andmaintainelectrical standards and specifications(Safety, documentation, wiring practices)
  • Ability to Evaluate Controls / PLC Technology for applications within our plant(s)
  • Provide and/or coordinate detailed quotes/estimates for Controls /PLC Engineeringwork
  • Provide and/or coordinate Budgetary Quotes/Estimates for Electricianwork
  • Able to Design /Modify/Debug Control PLC Systems that use the plantstandard
  • Technology/Software Packages(*See list)
  • Cross functional work within a project teamand across various enterprise locations
  • Hybrid work:3 days in office per week
  • Travel requirements: Up to50%

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineeringor similar field.
  • Preference of5+years' experience
  • Experiencewith NEC, NFPA79, NFPA70E and other local and national codes that need to be met for electrical equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience collecting data, performing statistical analyses, and making sound,data-driven decisions.
  • Demonstrated experienceestablishingand implementing performance measures.
  • Familiarity with and prior application of formalproblem-solvingtechniques, root cause analysis, and the implementation of corrective and preventative measures.
  • Embraces and drives change to improve.

$90,039.00 - $139,561.00

PROFIT SHARING: In 2026 Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $3,600 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit Sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
