Production Assistant

JOB SUMMARY

This position will be responsible for using his or her knowledge and skillset in a production and manufacturing environment to assemble and package parts and components. The position will be responsible for following production instructions and QC processes to meet specifications. A strong Stuart of detail and high mechanical aptitude are essential to the production, assembly, and packaging responsibilities. Production assistant will work closely with Production Controller for all job functions and scheduling.

MANDATORY FUNCTIONS

• Assist production department in the assembly and production of issued Work Orders.

• Assist Manufacturing with producing and finishing parts.

• Assist with the packing of goods on a daily basis.

• Perform to the duties outlined by the Production Controller.

• Maintain and safe and efficient work environment.

• Record detailed work order information in a consistent manner.

• Follow procedural instructions and QC checks.

• Follow 5S manufacturing and production standards throughout facility.

• Work with all team members in a positive way.

• Always focusing on ways to improve processes and workflow.

• Must always have a focus on exceeding requirements in all work produced.

• Always assist in areas and capacities needed.

• Assist in any capacity Production Controller needs outside of producing and manufacturing parts.

KNOWLEDGE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

• Applicants must be able to work by the mandatory functions above.

• Must be mechanically capable. • Must be able to maintain focus throughout a normal 8 hour shift.

• Must be able to work with various computer applications.

• Must be organized and enjoy working with people.

• Must be able to work in an efficient and timely manner.

• This Production Assistant position is expected to be a good steward of Safety, Professionalism, Ethical and Moral behavior.

• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

• Must be able to lift heavy loads using proper lifting techniques.

• May be required to work extended hours.

• Performance to match job criteria.

• Communicate to Production Controller for time off request following all guidelines in company handbook.

Starting Pay Rate $16.00-$17.00
