Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced Staff Pharmacist to support inpatient hospital care in Parma, MI. This contract role spans approximately 13 weeks and offers the potential for direct hire based on performance and mutual fit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately and efficiently process medication orders using Cerner Med Manager.
- Manage medication dispensing and ensure safe inventory control with Pyxis automation.
- Provide expert pharmaceutical care to inpatient hospital patients, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize medication therapies and support patient outcomes.
- Work scheduled weekend shifts (Saturdays and Sundays, 7am to 7pm) with additional weekday shifts (7am to 10pm) as needed.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Licensed Pharmacist in the state of Michigan.
- Proven experience in an inpatient hospital pharmacy setting.
- Proficiency with Cerner Med Manager for order entry.
- Skilled in the use of Pyxis automation systems.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
Schedule:
- Weekend shifts: Saturdays and Sundays, 7am to 7pm.
- Occasional weekday shifts, 7am to 10pm.
