We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Superintendent to join our growing team in Phoenix, AZ. This long-term position is essential to meet the demands of our current projects, offering stability and opportunities for early advancement.
Responsibilities
- Provide onsite field management for projects, ensuring safety, managing subcontractors and suppliers, and overseeing self-performed work.
- Assist in implementing project-specific safety and accident prevention programs and maintain safe work areas through regular site inspections.
- Coordinate, schedule, and manage all subcontractors and suppliers, selecting construction practices and methods for accomplishing the work.
- Prepare weekly look-ahead schedules, crew task lists, daily reports, and labor tracking reports.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the project schedule and budget, enforcing plans and motivating employees to adhere to them.
- Assist the project superintendent in locating and onboarding manpower, developing and implementing project plans, and maintaining current contract documents.
- Schedule and manage multiple crews performing various tasks across the project site.
- Allocate resources, plan activities, review work, and manage consumables and equipment, including compiling a comprehensive bill of materials and coordinating deliveries.
- Work closely with foremen and superintendents to monitor all activities.
- Prepare subcontractor and supplier agreements and manage communication regarding changes in work or project costs.
- Assist in creating project CAD drawings and ensure quality control, schedules, and plan production.
- Delegate work and provide technical guidance to ensure design is technically sound and cost-efficient.
- Assist with project and team management and mentor other design staff.
- Process plans and resolve issues with plan reviewers.
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent with facilities construction projects.
- Experience with water/wastewater projects is highly preferred but candidates with oil/gas construction experience or with facilities involving electrical/mechanical components will be considered.
- Knowledge of pump stations and lift stations.
- Experience in reading blueprints, scheduling, and managing field crews.
- Experience in creating weekly look-ahead schedules.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Experience with facilities, industrial construction, wastewater, mechanical, electrical, and pipeline construction.
- Experience in subcontractor management.
Projects are located around the Peoria, Glendale, and Phoenix metro area, including water treatment plants, lift stations, booster stations, and reclamation facilities. The position includes a vehicle allowance of $700/month and a gas card, or the use of a company truck if available. This is a salaried position with general working hours from Monday to Friday, 6am-2:30pm or 7am-3:30pm, though flexibility is required based on project demands. The role will be almost entirely field-based with no out-of-state travel required.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
