Job Title: Robotic Paint Technician
Job Description
This role focuses on programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining robotic paint systems to ensure high-quality finishes and efficient production in an automated manufacturing environment. The Paint Technician supports and optimizes automated paint processes by configuring robotic equipment, monitoring performance, and resolving technical issues related to paint application and fluid delivery systems.
Responsibilities
- Program and configure robotic paint systems, including 6-axis robots, to meet production and quality requirements.
- Set up robotic paint systems and related equipment to support efficient and consistent paint application.
- Troubleshoot robotic paint equipment, control systems, and paint processes to resolve issues and minimize downtime.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on robotic paint systems and associated equipment to ensure reliable operation.
- Monitor paint quality and perform quality control checks to ensure coatings meet specifications and standards.
- Analyze paint defects using root cause analysis techniques and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Adjust paint application parameters, fluid delivery systems, and coating processes to optimize finish quality and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate documentation of programs, system configurations, maintenance activities, and process changes.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve automated paint processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow all safety procedures and operational guidelines while working with robotic systems and paint equipment.
Essential Skills
- 3–5 years of experience in an automated, industrial manufacturing environment working with paint robots.
- Proven hands-on experience programming and troubleshooting 6-axis robots such as FANUC or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of paint application techniques, fluid delivery systems, and coating processes.
- Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis on paint defects and implement effective corrective actions.
- Experience with robot programming, including creation, modification, and optimization of paint paths and routines.
- Proficiency in system setup, including configuring robotic paint systems and related equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for robotic systems, control systems, and paint equipment.
- Experience performing maintenance and repairs on robotic paint systems and associated hardware.
- Knowledge of quality control practices related to paint application and finishes.
- Ability to maintain clear and accurate documentation for programs, maintenance, and process changes.
- Technical diploma or certificate in Robotics, Mechatronics, Automation, or equivalent experience.

Work Environment
This position operates on a first shift schedule, typically from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The facility is climate controlled, providing a comfortable and consistent working environment throughout the year. You will work in an automated industrial manufacturing setting with robotic paint systems and related equipment, following established safety procedures and operational guidelines.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
