Inpatient Hospital Staff Pharmacist in Bellevue, MI

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract position offers an opportunity for an experienced pharmacist to contribute to inpatient hospital care with a respected healthcare facility in Bellevue, MI. Scheduled primarily on weekends with additional weekday shifts as needed, this role offers flexibility and exposure to a dynamic hospital pharmacy environment. There is also potential for direct hire upon completion of the 13-week contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and verify prescription orders within the inpatient setting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with hospital protocols.
• Utilize Cerner Med Manager for efficient order entry and medication management.
• Operate Pyxis automation systems to streamline medication dispensing and inventory control.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize pharmaceutical care for patients.
• Maintain proper documentation and adhere to regulatory standards in all activities.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current Michigan Pharmacist License.
• Proven inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
• Proficiency with Cerner Med Manager and Pyxis automation systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability for weekend shifts (Saturdays and Sundays, 7am to 7pm) and some weekdays (7am to 10pm) as required.
