Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Swiss Machinist to set up and operate advanced Swiss and L20 machines. This role involves managing the full process including operation, setups, tooling changes, editing programs, loading programs, and troubleshooting. You will work on medium to high production runs for medical parts and ensure the precision of parts using various inspection tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Swiss and L20 machines.
• Manage the full machining process including setups, tooling changes, and program edits.
• Troubleshoot and load programs as necessary.
• Conduct medium to high production runs for medical parts.
• Inspect parts using microscopes, micrometers, OGP, gage pins, thread gages, indicators, and calipers.
• Understand and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Read and comprehend layouts, job travelers, and blueprints.
• Ensure adherence to written manufacturing processes and procedures.

Essential Skills

• 4+ years of experience in CNC setup and Swiss operating.
• Familiarity with Swiss and L20 machines.
• Understanding of ISO Quality System particularly in medical device manufacturing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in shop mathematics.
• Proficient with measuring tools.
• Knowledge in numerical control and CNC Swiss operations.

Work Environment

Work in an extremely nice, newly built machine shop that is well-lit with natural light and maintained in pristine condition. The company has been in business for about 11 years, producing precise R&D parts for major medical companies. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 2nd shift from 2-10pm, with potential training on 1st shift from 6am-2pm for 4-6 weeks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Circle Pines, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.25 - $40.25/hr.
