We are looking for a Call Center Specialist to join a mission-driven non-profit organization in New Orleans, Louisiana. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, communicates clearly, and can build confidence quickly through hands-on training. The person in this role will support callers with professionalism and empathy while managing information accurately in a fast-paced office setting.

Responsibilities:
• Respond to incoming calls and provide courteous, solution-focused service to individuals seeking assistance and program information.
• Guide callers through questions related to housing support programs, eligibility topics, and general service inquiries with accuracy and care.
• Record conversations, update customer details, and maintain organized documentation within customer service and office systems.
• Use Microsoft Word and Excel to complete routine administrative tasks, track information, and prepare basic records as needed.
• Escalate complex concerns to the appropriate team members while ensuring each interaction is handled promptly and professionally.
• Participate in structured training to learn program guidelines, call handling procedures, and service expectations for the role.
• Support daily call center operations by balancing a high volume of inbound requests with consistent attention to detail.• Previous experience in call center support, inbound customer service, or a similar client-facing role is preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly, listen actively, and remain attentive during high-volume phone interactions.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel for routine documentation and data entry tasks.
• Comfort learning new customer service platforms, internal procedures, and program-specific information through intensive training.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage records accurately and follow established processes.
• Experience with affordable housing, Housing Choice Voucher programs, LIHTC, supportive housing, or recertification processes is a plus but not required.
• Reliable attendance and availability to work a Monday through Friday schedule in an office environment.
