Job Summary\n

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care to patients across various age groups, employing the nursing process within established standards and practices.

\n\nDuties and Responsibilities\n

\n
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and reassessments of young adult, adult, and elderly patients.
\n
• Provide direct patient care, evaluating outcomes and adjusting care processes as necessary to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
\n
• Administer cardiac monitoring and interventions, sedation, and pain management as required.
\n
• Perform chest tube care and insertion, manage intravenous (IV) therapy, and access central lines.
\n
• Administer medications, including specialized IV drips and titration, and perform transfusion therapy.
\n
• Provide pre and post-care for cardiac catheterization, as well as manage Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) and Peripheral Parenteral Nutrition (PPN).
\n
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation, including patient histories and treatment responses.
\n
• Maintain patient confidentiality and address psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families.
\n
• Collaborate with patients and families to create individualized care plans, which are reviewed and updated regularly.
\n
• Formulate and evaluate teaching plans based on identified patient learning needs, involving family members when appropriate.
\n
• Supervise and delegate tasks to other healthcare staff involved in patient care.
\n
• Assist physicians with procedures and participate in the evaluation of performance improvement activities.
\n
• Orient and serve as a preceptor to newly hired employees.
\n
• Participate in ongoing professional development through educational programs, workshops, and current literature.
\n
• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of patient care equipment and manage supply inventories effectively.
\n
• Adapt to changes in workload efficiently to maintain productivity and provide high-quality patient care.
\n
• Adhere to all infection control and safety policies, as well as departmental competencies.
\n
• Perform ancillary duties as assigned, including housekeeping tasks and patient transportation.
\n

\n\nRequired Education and Licensure\n

\n
• Associate’s degree in nursing (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
\n
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
\n
• CPR certification required; BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and EKG certifications preferred
\n

\n\nExperience\n

\n
• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required; 5 years preferred.
\n
• Travel experience is required.
\n

\n\nLanguage Proficiency\n

\n
• Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
\n

\n\nWork Schedule\n

This position requires an 8-week day shift commitment, with a schedule of 48 hours per week.
