Location: Hood River, Oregon
Schedule: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (07:00 - 17:00), block scheduling required. No weekends, no on-call, no floating between units. Patient ratio approximately 1:20.
Highlights:- Reduced non-billable orientation – 0 hours versus standard 40 hours
- Critical Access Hospital with Level III Trauma Center designation, 25 staffed beds
- Outpatient infusion center focus including oncology and non-oncology treatment plans
- Epic charting system in use
- Teaching hospital environment with interdisciplinary team support including pharmacy, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
- Free parking available on-site
- Active Oregon Pharmacist License (may submit with pending license)
- Minimum 1 year of outpatient infusion experience required
- Chemo/Hazardous Drug certification required
- Experience with oncology medications and treatment plan evaluation
- Epic charting system experience preferred
- Experience with Pyxis, high-alert medications, and IV compounding
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Reliable personal vehicle required for this assignment
This 13-week travel assignment offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative teaching environment with a focus on outpatient infusion pharmacy. You'll oversee the medication use process, verify hazardous and non-hazardous infusion medications, evaluate insurance coverage, provide patient education, and participate in adverse reaction management. With a reduced orientation period and consistent day shift schedule, this role provides excellent work-life balance in the beautiful Hood River region.
