Job Description:

Provide nursing care in the Emergency Room and MedSurg Swing unit with responsibilities for handling a variety of patient diagnoses and managing titratable drips.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient care in an ED/MedSurg swing setting, maintaining a ratio of 1 to 4 for acute care and 1 to 6 for Swing bed patients.
• Titrate drips and handle respiratory equipment like NEBS, O2 nasal, and mask; may assist with Vent and Cpap equipment in specific circumstances.
• Perform telemonitoring and read strips in the ED as required.
• Participate in flexible scheduling, floating to ED holds if needed, and may take on charge nurse duties.

Requirements:

• Valid RN license required for submission.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Minimum one year of MedSurg experience.
