American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position at an acute care hospital in Illinois, requiring an active IL RN license and hands-on GI Lab experience.
Details- Work in the Endoscopy unit of a 65-bed acute care hospital
- Schedule is 4x9-hour shifts, Tuesday through Thursday, with 8 hours dedicated to procedures and the final hour supporting general department needs
- Day shift hours: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Performs colonoscopy, ERCP, and EGD procedures
- Uses Olympus scopes, ERBE equipment, polyp snares, and foreign body equipment
- Administers opioid analgesics and reversal agents
- Handles and labels specimen collection
- Charting system: Cerner
- Free parking available in any unrestricted space
- Active IL RN license currently in hand is required for consideration
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Experience in a GI Lab, outpatient surgery, or infusion setting required
- Hands-on experience with Olympus scopes, ERBE, polyp snares, foreign body equipment, opioid analgesics, and reversal agents required
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Proficiency in colonoscopy, ERCP, and EGD procedures required
- Prior travel nursing experience is preferred
- Previous charge nurse experience is a plus
- All time-off requests (RTO) must be discussed directly with the manager during the interview
- Scrub color is flexible; however, tee shirts, sweatshirts, and clothing with logos from other organizations are not permitted
- Block schedule may be accommodated — discuss availability during the interview process
