Position: PET/CT Technologist
Facility: Bassett Medical Center
Location: One Atwell Road, Cooperstown, NY 13326

Assignment Details:

• Schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 10-hour day shifts (40 hours/week guaranteed after orientation)
• Potential schedule change to Monday–Thursday in the near future
• Guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation
• Local candidates within 80 miles

Position Requirements:

• Minimum 1–2 years of PET/CT experience
• Dual-certified PET/CT Technologist required:
  • ARRT (CT) required
  • ARRT (N) or NMTCB required
• Active New York licenses required for BOTH:
  • CT Technologist
  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist
• Experience with GE Discovery IQ PET/CT scanner preferred/required

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient safety, screening, and radiation safety compliance
• Aseptic injection techniques and radioactive material handling
• Production of high-quality diagnostic PET/CT images
• Communication with physicians, radiologists, and patients
• Equipment troubleshooting (scanner, PACS, monitors, coils, etc.)
• Training and mentoring new technologists as needed

Screening Questions:

• Any requested time off?
• Minimum 1–2 years CT/PET experience?
• Nuclear Medicine credentials (NMTCB or ARRT)?
• CT credentials (ARRT CT)?
• Dual licensed in NY for both CT and Nuclear Medicine?
• Experience with GE Discovery IQ equipment?

Required Certifications: ARRT(CT) and ARRT(N) or NMTCB (Dual PET/CT certification required).\n\nRequired Licenses: Active New York State licenses for both CT Technologist and Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
