Position Overview
Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking an experienced Cytotechnologist to join its Laboratory team. This role involves performing gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology testing in a high-volume hospital laboratory while contributing to quality assurance initiatives and supporting accurate patient diagnoses.
Responsibilities

- Screen and evaluate gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology specimens microscopically. \t
- Process and assess specimens using Thin Prep and related cytology techniques. \t
- Participate in Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) programs. \t
- Ensure proper specimen identification, labeling, and handling. \t
- Assist with Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) procedures and Rapid On-Site Evaluation (ROSE), when required. \t
- Work closely with pathologists, laboratory staff, and healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate diagnostic results. \t
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.

- Minimum 3 years of Cytotechnologist experience. \t
- Current ASCP Cytotechnologist (CT) certification or equivalent. \t
