What you will practice and perfect
  • Set-up, operate, and maintain at least one CNC process area (e.g., rotary, surface grinder) while meeting safety and output targets.
  • Complete wheel changes and standard set-ups within defined time standards.
  • Execute in-process inspections and maintain quality, productivity, utilization, and schedule records.
  • Update visual controls and hour-by-hour charts; uphold 6S and housekeeping standards.
  • Follow clean-up shift procedures and support continuous improvement.
  • Comply with Employee Handbook, Quality, and EH&S requirements; achieve and sustain certified status; maintain dependable attendance; perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Math fluency with decimals, fractions, and basic formulas; ability to use charts and tables.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and writing diagrams.
  • Experience with computer scanning devices and adjustable measuring instruments.
  • Skilled at reviewing reports/forms and interpreting straightforward technical data.
  • Capable of planning work and determining the order of set-ups, operations, and processes while following defined methods.
  • Preferred: 1–2 years of machine operation experience.
