Maintenance Manager - Manufacturing & Industrial Equipment

Our client is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations for a lumber and pallet manufacturing facility in Jamesville, NY. This role is responsible for maintaining equipment reliability, managing preventive maintenance programs, coordinating repairs, and overseeing parts inventory.

Please Note: This position is currently based in Jamesville, NY. The company plans to relocate operations to Blossvale, NY within approximately 20 months, making this an excellent long-term opportunity with a growing organization.

• Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Coordinate maintenance activities with production, vendors, and contractors
• Manage parts, tools, and maintenance inventory
• Maintain maintenance records and equipment documentation
• Minimize downtime and support efficient plant operations

• 3-5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, industrial, or heavy equipment environments
• Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Ability to read schematics, manuals, and technical documentation
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

• Experience in lumber, sawmill, pallet, or wood products manufacturing
• Supervisory or leadership experience
• Forklift and mobile equipment experience
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards

This position requires working in an active manufacturing environment and performing physical maintenance tasks as needed.
