What you'll do:
- Schedules and oversees preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacements
- Ensures compliance with regulations for skilled nursing facilities
- Maintains professional relationships with staff, vendors, and inspectors
- Conducts routine inspections of equipment, systems, and life safety measures
- Leads facility emergency preparedness drills
- Manages departmental budget under Administrator direction
- Engages positively with residents
- Supervises maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry staff, including hiring support
- Safely operates hand tools and small power tools
- Provides staff training on safety, fire protocols, and regulatory requirements
- Performs additional duties as assigned

What we're looking for:
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Ability to read, speak, and understand English; Spanish is a plus
- Basic management and decision-making skills required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of two years of maintenance experience (healthcare setting preferred)
- Able to work in varying conditions, including outdoor or confined/unpleasant environments
- Comfortable with exposure to body fluids and communicable diseases
- Ability to lift, push, or pull 50-100 lbs. without assistance
- Adequate vision and hearing (with or without assistive devices) to perform duties
- Ability to climb and work on ladders
