Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location: Yuma, AZ
Type: Contract (5 Months)
Pay: $40.00 – $44.00 per Hour
Shift & Schedule: Night Shift | 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM | Monday–Friday | 36–48 Hours/Week
Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide compassionate nursing care in a skilled nursing and long-term care environment. The ideal candidate will have experience caring for geriatric patients, administering medications and treatments, and supporting residents' overall health and well-being.
Responsibilities• Provide direct nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing and long-term care setting.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Perform wound care, tracheostomy care, catheter care, and other nursing treatments.
• Observe, document, and report resident responses to medications and treatments.
• Participate in shift reports and communicate resident status updates to the healthcare team.
• Assist with nursing assessments, care plans, and documentation.
• Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed.
• Supervise and guide support staff when appropriate.
• Collect specimens and respond to emergency situations.
• Participate in resident care planning and interdisciplinary meetings.
• Maintain accurate documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
Required Qualifications• Active Arizona LPN License.
• Minimum 1 year of skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred.
• Current negative TB skin test within the last 12 months.
• Strong knowledge of geriatric nursing principles.
• Experience with medication administration and nursing treatments.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications• Long-Term Care (LTC) experience.
• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience.
• Experience with wound care and geriatric patient management.
• Experience supervising nursing assistants or support staff.
