Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday | 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Dean's Professional Services is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Specimen Technician to join a fast-paced laboratory team in Lewisville, TX. This role is essential in supporting accurate and timely diagnostic testing by ensuring proper specimen handling, processing, and data entry.

Position Overview

As a Specimen Technician, you will play a key role in the laboratory's daily operations by processing and preparing patient specimens with a high level of accuracy and efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in a clinical laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately receive, sort, and process patient specimens in a high-volume environment
• Perform data entry with speed and precision (6,000+ keystrokes/hour preferred)
• Prepare specimens for testing, including centrifugation and aliquoting
• Ensure proper labeling, tracking, and delivery of specimens to laboratory departments
• Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in a biohazard environment
• Communicate effectively with team members and other departments
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace
• Adapt to changing workflows and departmental needs

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Strong data entry and basic computer skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
• Previous laboratory, medical, or production experience preferred but not required
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
