Job Description
Direct Counsel is partnering with a prestigious AmLaw 10 law firm to identify a Litigation Associate to join its New York office. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented attorney to work on high-stakes, complex litigation matters within a nationally recognized litigation practice.
Associates in this role will gain exposure to sophisticated disputes across multiple industries, working alongside experienced litigators on significant cases and developing strong advocacy and case management skills.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with all phases of complex litigation, including case development and strategy
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal memoranda
Conduct legal research and factual investigations
Support discovery, depositions, and trial preparation
Collaborate with senior attorneys on high-profile litigation matters
Manage deadlines and contribute to overall litigation strategy
1–6 years of litigation experience at a law firm or comparable legal environment
Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced litigation environment
Outstanding academic credentials
Admission to the New York Bar required
