Job Description
At Valdes Architecture & Engineering, you won’t just produce drawings—you’ll lead the design of piping systems that support real industrial operations across energy, manufacturing, and infrastructure.
We’re looking for a Senior Piping Designer who wants ownership, variety, and the opportunity to mentor others while working on technically challenging projects.
What You'll DoLead piping design and plant layout for industrial projects from concept through construction
Develop 3D models, layouts, and detailed design deliverables
Collaborate with mechanical, structural, electrical, and I&C teams
Review vendor drawings and ensure design quality and constructability
Support field work and solve real-world issues during execution
Guide and mentor junior designers
Own multiple projects—balancing quality, schedule, and budget
Improve design standards, workflows, and best practices
Play a key role in interdisciplinary coordination
Help shape how projects are delivered—not just execute them
Core experience:
8+ years of piping design experience
Strong background in plant layout and industrial systems
Proficiency with 2D/3D CAD tools (AutoCAD or similar)
You’ll stand out if you have:
Experience with multi-discipline project environments
Knowledge of stress analysis and in-line instrumentation
Experience mentoring or leading designers
- SPED PPD Certified applicants preferred
