Mortgage Technology Product OwnerLocal Remote (Southern California) or Hybrid (Santa Ana, CA)A growing mortgage lender is expanding its technology organization and hiring four Mortgage Technology Product Owners to help drive the modernization and automation of the loan lifecycle. These roles are ideal for professionals who combine deep mortgage expertise with a strong ownership mindset and enjoy taking initiatives from idea through production.
The team is looking for product leaders who thrive in fast-paced environments, understand mortgage operations, and take pride in moving work forward. The environment is highly collaborative and focused on practical execution over rigid process.
Mortgage industry experience is required.
What you'll do- Own mortgage technology initiatives from concept through implementation and post-production improvements
- Translate business, operational, and compliance needs into clear user stories and actionable requirements
- Manage and prioritize product backlogs to support engineering delivery
- Partner with business stakeholders, operations teams, compliance, and developers to ensure successful execution
- Support technology initiatives across loan origination, underwriting, servicing, broker portals, and related mortgage platforms
- Define acceptance criteria and remove blockers to keep projects moving
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives
- Drive continuous improvements and ensure solutions align with customer and business needs
- Help deliver AI-first solutions by creating structured, well-defined work that enables modern development practices
- Ensure technology initiatives support regulatory requirements and lending processes
- Monitor product performance after launch and identify opportunities for optimization
