Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Location: Hettinger, ND
Type: Contract
Pay: Local: $25/hr – $30/hr | Travel: $30/hr – $33/hr
Shift & Schedule: Night Shift | 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM | 36 Hours Guaranteed
Position OverviewWe are seeking a compassionate and experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide quality resident care in a Long-Term Care setting. The ideal candidate will have experience assisting residents with activities of daily living, mobility support, and patient monitoring while maintaining a safe and comfortable environment during night shifts.
Responsibilities• Provide direct patient care including bathing, grooming, feeding, and toileting assistance.
• Accurately measure and record vital signs using manual blood pressure equipment.
• Assist residents with mobility using gait belts, sit-to-stand lifts, and Hoyer lifts.
• Perform safe transfers and repositioning of patients.
• Provide bed pan and incontinence care as needed.
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation using electronic charting systems.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and dignity at all times.
• Collaborate with nursing and support staff to deliver quality resident care.
• Maintain infection control standards and cleanliness.
• Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) during overnight care.
Required Qualifications• Active CNA Certification.
• Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing Facility experience preferred.
• Proficiency in manual blood pressure measurement.
• Experience using Hoyer lifts, sit-to-stand devices, and gait belts.
• Ability to perform safe patient transfers and mobility assistance.
• Comfortable working night shifts.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple resident needs in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working around therapy animals.
Preferred Qualifications• Previous Long-Term Care (LTC) experience.
• Experience with electronic charting systems.
• Strong resident care and patient safety skills.
• Excellent observation and reporting abilities.
