Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift

Location: Orlando, FL
Pay: $17.25/hour – Paid Weekly
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 4:30 PM – 1:30 AM

Abacus Staffing is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to support production and facility operations. This position is responsible for performing diversified maintenance duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery and facility equipment while following all safety and maintenance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, set up, and perform basic maintenance on production equipment including tape machines, sealers, scales, printers, conveyors, and related machinery.
• Maintain facility equipment such as fans, pallet jacks, carts, and other plant equipment.
• Respond to emergency and unscheduled repairs during production hours.
• Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance during planned service times.
• Conduct basic machinist duties as needed.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
• Diagnose equipment issues, replace or repair parts, test equipment, and make adjustments.
• Use hand tools, power tools, meters, and material-handling equipment safely.
• Identify faulty operations or defective materials and report issues to supervision.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times.
• Follow all safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• Basic technical and mechanical aptitude
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Results-driven with the ability to work independently
• Ethical conduct and strong communication skills
• Takes initiative and demonstrates reliability
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted
• Comfortable working at heights (8-step ladder or up to 30 ft scissor lift)
