Job Description
Role Summary Own day-to-day international shipping execution and documentation: convert approved orders into compliant, on-time shipments; coordinate with credit, carriers/forwarders, and customer service; keep records clean and searchable; communicate clearly via the group email for full traceability.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Order & docs flow: Review pick tickets, create packing lists, and route to Billing for invoicing; maintain clean order status and shipment records in ROI and DocLink.
- Credit hold/CIA: Partner with Credit to ensure CIA orders are paid prior to release.
- Freight management: Obtain quotes, secure approvals, and ensure charges are billed back correctly to the customer account.
- Export documentation: Prepare complete, compliant export packets (e.g., B/L, COO, USMCA/USCMA, SLI) and applicable dangerous goods forms (IMO/IMDG for Ocean; IATA for Air).
- Carrier/forwarder coordination: Book, schedule, and route all outbound international shipments; confirm pickups and transit; share shipping details with customers as requested.
- Data hygiene: Update tracking info, carrier profiles, and shipment milestones in ROI; index docs accurately in DocLink; monitor daily reports and act on exceptions.
- Compliance: Maintain working knowledge of 49 CFR, IATA, IMDG; follow internal SOPs precisely; escalate uncertainties before shipping.
- Warehouse interface: Create pull sheets, scan and index batch codes, and separate completed shipped orders per procedure.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years international shipping experience with direct hazardous materials export documentation.
- Hands-on freight forwarder/carrier coordination experience.
- Strong accuracy and follow-through; proven record of reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Systems: ROI (or similar ERP/WMS), DocLink (or similar document management), MS Word/Excel/Outlook.
- Communication: Clear, professional email/phone skills; customer-facing when needed; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Problem-solving, organization, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical: ability to lift 20 lbs as needed
