Busy Law Firm is seeking a negotiator to help settle files in the pre-litigation stage.

The Pre-Litigation Settlement Negotiator plays a critical role in managing settlement discussions prior to litigation, ensuring favorable outcomes for clients in personal injury cases. This position requires full-time office presence and strong negotiation skills, with incentives linked to settlement percentages. The role offers a dynamic work environment with benefits such as Summer Fridays ending early and biweekly lunches provided.

Responsibilities

• Conduct settlement negotiations for plaintiff personal injury cases prior to litigation
• Review case files and prepare settlement proposals
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to manage case progression
• Maintain organized documentation of negotiation activities and outcomes
• Utilize legal research tools to support case strategies
• Communicate effectively with clients and opposing parties to facilitate resolution
• Assist in case management and administrative tasks within the litigation process

Required Qualifications

• Paralegal experience or prior legal administrative experience in a law office setting
• Proven track record in legal research, document review, and case management within litigation or pre-litigation processes
• Full-time in-office attendance with reliable personal transportation

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis
• Experience in personal injury, family law, landlord-tenant law, or workers' compensation law
