Assistant Maintenance

Sterling Personnel, Inc. is looking for an Assistant Maintenance for an apartment complex facility. This role is offered as an open-ended temporary opportunity that has the potential to turn into a long-term position based on business needs.

Fulltime

Mon-fri 8am-5pm

$18 an hour

Responsibilities: 

• Report to the Property Manager and Lead Service technician and work with property management to prioritize and complete make-ready tasks.
• Monitor and report inventory needs for supplies and equipment
• Replace or repair fixtures, appliances, flooring, and hardware as needed.
• Performs and/or assists with carpentry work, painting and plumbing duties as required
• Installs appliances and electrical fixtures as required
• Moves appliances, with assistance, using appliance dolly
• Installs, repairs and rekeys deadbolt locks
• Reports any maintenance problems
• Assists with resident functions as required
• Maintains courteous and helpful demeanor with residents, prospective residents, co-workers, vendors, etc.
• Complete grounds work such as grounds pick up, sweeping and light landscaping
• Minor pool maintenance may be required
• Completes check lists in a timely manner to ensure units are ready for new residents move-in date 

Qualifications: 

• Must have at least a minimal 3 year of Make Ready experience 
• Must have strong communication skills to be able to understand and follow directions
• Must have knowledge of general maintenance such as painting, plumbing, carpentry and general grounds care
• Must be prompt, on time to work and have good, regular attendance
• Availability to work weekends while maintaining a flexible weekday schedule
• Must be able to pass background and drug screening
