Title: Manufacturing Engineer II – Assembly // Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Davenport, IA - 52809
Duration: 12 Months (possible extension)
1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, OT hours if requested - between 5-8 hours
Your Responsibilities:
As an OFP Assembly ME for Davenport Works located in Davenport, IA, supporting the Articulated Dump Truck (ADT) assembly line, you will:
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify and implement continuous improvement projects for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Lead and manage small to moderate scope capital projects.
- Establish and maintain layouts, labor standards, methods and sequence of events for assembly operations.
- Analyze, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes and technologies.
- Provide support and troubleshooting for current assembly operations.
What Skills You Need:
- 3 or more years of experience with manufacturing processes, quality, tooling, preventative maintenance, and facilities.
- Experience with engineering tools and manufacturing execution systems.
- Experience leading and implementing projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication skills with operators, peers, and leadership.
- Self-motivated and able to execute with minimal supervision.
- Strong personal accountability, follow-through, and ability to foster a positive, engaged team environment.
- Identify and implement cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas for Articulated Dump Truck assembly operations.
- Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following: Bachelor's degree in engineering/technology discipline or equivalent related work experience (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical engineering preferred).
