Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
This description is not intended to include all duties or responsibilities and may be modified as business needs evolve.
- Promote and maintain a Safety First culture by adhering to OSHA standards and company safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), GMP, Arc Flash protocols, proper PPE usage, and housekeeping practices.
- Perform preventative maintenance activities on plastic blow molding machines and associated manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production equipment including molding machines, auxiliary equipment, robotics, and supporting systems.
- Apply knowledge of mechanical, electrical, PLC, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to maintain equipment performance and reliability.
- Analyze equipment failures and determine corrective actions using blueprints, schematics, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.
- Assemble, install, maintain, and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, plumbing, and piping systems.
- Install and repair electrical equipment and automated systems, including transformers and robotic components.
- Coordinate with outside vendors to procure replacement parts, supplies, and maintenance support as needed.
- Complete scheduled weekly, monthly, and annual preventative maintenance assignments.
- Identify and repair compressed air leaks and utility-related equipment issues.
- Support Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) inspections and compliance initiatives.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas at all times.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, Food Safety, and Food Quality requirements established by the company, customers, and regulatory agencies.
- Partner with operations and maintenance teams to support projects, continuous improvement efforts, and department priorities.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of manufacturing maintenance experience and/or related technical training required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with demonstrated experience in electrical controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload with minimal supervision.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to document equipment issues and communicate maintenance activities across shifts.
