Pay Rate:
• Experienced candidates: Up to $45/hour
• Recent graduates: Up to $37.25/hour
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with an Industrial Engineering background to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proven performance in past manufacturing support roles and experience conducting time studies. You’ll work on optimizing processes, supporting operations, and improving efficiency within our manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support manufacturing and distribution operations, focusing on quality improvement and efficiency.
• Conduct time studies and work measurement analyses for incentive pay systems such as CIPP (Continuous Improvement Pay Plan).
• Develop and improve manufacturing methods, tooling, tool design, and processes.
• Participate in total preventative maintenance and facilities management activities.
• Document processes and procedures with technical writing, ensuring clarity and compliance.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Provide shop floor support and problem-solving, spending approximately 60% of time on feet and lifting up to 10 lbs as needed.
• Utilize Microsoft Office and other relevant software to analyze data and prepare reports.
• Work flexible hours to support manufacturing operations as required.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer (ideal); open to recent graduates with relevant internships or academic experience.
• Experience with manufacturing and distribution processes, quality, tooling, and facilities.
• Demonstrated experience in technical writing and communication.
• Proven track record in shop floor manufacturing, incentive pay systems, and work measurement.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to be on feet for approximately 60% of the workday.
• Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs.
Work Details:
• Onsite only (no remote)
• Business casual dress code
• Interview preference: Onsite but open to Teams for candidates not local
• Will need metatarsal safety boots for first day
• This is a shop floor position so candidates must be comfortable in this environment
Other Notes:
• Fully onsite; candidate must be comfortable with factory environment and occasional intra-facility travel
If you are submitting a recent grad candidate, they must have an internship in a manufacturing environment.
