Job Description
Summary of Position
The CNC Machine Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing items such as CNC machinery, factory equipment, and vehicles in a safe and productive manner. This position is also responsible for supporting the production department in the creation of goods and services as may be required to service customers when maintenance requirements are up to date.
Responsibilities and Duties
As a minimum, the following is a basic description of typical duties and responsibilities expected of the Maintenance Technician. These duties are not exhaustive and are subject to change as the needs of the organization require.
•Testing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining machine tools including CNC controls, PLC hardware and software, control circuits, electro/mechanical systems, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
•Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications.
•Perform preventative and predictive maintenance according to published schedule to meet production demand.
•Clean and lubricate shafts, bearing, gears and other parts of machinery.
•Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.
•Perform adjustments, alignments, and calibrations on equipment.
•Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
•Troubleshoot and repair factory equipment and CNC equipment.
•Install and upgrade new and current equipment.
•Adhere to Company's’ safety rules, regulations, and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
•High school diploma or equivalent.
•Two or more years of CNC machine maintenance experience.
•Strong mechanical and electrical abilities, manufacturing experience, and understanding of safety and environmental practices.
•Strong analytical skills and demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
•Ability to read/interpret blueprints and schematics.
•Ability to collaborate well with a team as well as independently.
Preferred Qualifications
•Four or more years of CNC machine maintenance experience.
•Two-year technical degree in Mechanical or Electrical Technology.
•Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
•Familiar with manufacturing processes and machining equipment.
•Machine tool experience including major upgrades, revisions, and installations both mechanically and with control systems.
