Primary Care Physician (MD / DO) - Part-Time

Position Overview

Potters Medical Group, PC has an urgent opening for a dedicated, compassionate, and energetic Part-Time Primary Care Physician (Family Medicine or Internal Medicine). As a vital leader in our outpatient clinic, you will serve as a premier point of contact for patients seeking medical attention—delivering comprehensive health assessments, managing chronic and acute illnesses, and building personalized wellness plans. This role offers excellent schedule flexibility for physicians looking to balance clinical practice with other personal or professional commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Care: Conduct thorough physical examinations and clinical patient assessments to diagnose illnesses and manage multi-system chronic diseases (e.g., diabetes, hypertension) alongside acute minor conditions.
• Preventative Health: Develop and implement individualized care plans, promoting healthy lifestyles, immunizations, health coaching, and standard health screenings.
• Documentation: Maintain meticulous, timely, and accurate medical records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems (such as Epic or similar platforms).
• Care Coordination: Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary network of specialists (e.g., cardiology, endocrinology, psychiatry, dermatology) to ensure holistic patient continuity.
• Patient Advocacy: Provide empathetic counseling on lifestyle modifications, behavioral health support, and medication adherence to optimize health outcomes.

Qualifications & CA Compliance

• Licensure: An active, unrestricted license to practice medicine as an MD or DO issued by the Medical Board of California or the Osteopathic Medical Board of California.
• Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Credentials: Valid DEA registration and California driving credentials.
• Compliance: Clean background check with strict adherence to California HIPAA, DHCS, OSHA regulations, and NCQA standards.
• Clinical Skills: Confident performing basic outpatient procedures (e.g., suturing, wound care, and vital signs assessment).
