Job Description
Job Title: Safety Professional coordinator
Industry: Heavy Machine Manufacturing
Location: Milan, IL 61264
Shift: 3rd Shift (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Duration: 1 Year (Possible Extension)
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
• Investigate workplace incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Deliver safety training and presentations.
• Monitor OSHA compliance and safety recordkeeping.
• Analyze EHS metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
• Review new equipment, processes, and facilities for safety compliance.
• Support hazard identification and injury prevention initiatives.
• Manage corrective and preventive action programs.
Requirements:
• Safety Degree OR strong manufacturing/warehouse safety experience.
• Experience conducting safety training programs.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to work on the production floor and interact with employees.
Preferred Skills:
• Occupational Safety experience.
• Manufacturing or Distribution Center environment.
• OSHA 10-Hour or OSHA 30-Hour training.
• CSP Certification (preferred).
• Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis.
• Ergonomics and Risk Assessment.
Work Environment:
• Approximately 50% of time spent on warehouse/manufacturing floor.
• Frequent employee interaction, observations, and safety coaching.
• Metatarsal safety footwear required on Day 1.
Experience:
• Entry-level to early-career Safety Professional.
• Manufacturing, warehouse, EHS, or safety coordination experience preferred.
