Family owned Tow Company with locations in Denver, Breckenridge, Idaho Springs, and Gypsum looking for quality team members to grow our operation and better serve our customers.

The Heavy Duty Tow Truck Driver operates a variety of tow trucks, including recovery trucks, flatbed tow trucks, heavy duty wreckers, and wheel-lift tow trucks. Primarily working day shifts with occasional regional travel, the driver handles vehicle towing and recovery while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction. This role requires working within a small support team and participating in on-call rotations and weekend shifts approximately once per month. Basic maintenance and timely reporting of vehicle issues are key responsibilities. We offer the best equipment, flexible schedule, growth opportunity, and freedom to do your job, only 1 weekend per month, Only 2 on call nights per week, 1 week vacation after one year and Company will pay up to 20% of health insurance premiums after probationary period. This is a commission position with a base wage. pay is D.O.E. We have positions available in Denver, Idaho Springs, and Breckenridge currently. A great opportunity for hard working people who aren't afraid to get dirty when needed to take care of the customer. Open to relocating employees, however no assistance is offered or provided.

 

Responsibilities

  • Operate recovery, flatbed, heavy duty wrecker, and wheel-lift tow trucks
  • Secure loads and safely tow vehicles to designated locations
  • Navigate routes efficiently within local and regional areas
  • Inspect equipment and perform basic maintenance; report issues to maintenance team
  • Assist customers during vehicle recovery and towing processes
  • Manage accident scenes following safety protocols and legal requirements
  • Maintain compliance with all safety and operational regulations
  • Communicate effectively with team members and customers
  • Keep accurate records of tows, inspections, and service logs
  • Respond promptly to emergency towing requests as part of on-call duties

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in heavy vehicle operation
  • Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
  • Knowledge of heavy vehicle operation and towing techniques
  • Understanding of safety protocols and route planning
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Mechanical knowledge and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective time management skills
