Job Details

  • Location: Hot Springs
  • Contract Length: 13 Weeks
  • Shift: Variable Shift
  • Schedule: 3x12
  • Experience Required: 2 Years
  • Weekly Pay: $2000 to $2200
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients with acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continuously monitor patient conditions
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and prescribed treatments
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
  • Monitor and document patient progress and promptly report changes in condition
  • Collaborate with physicians, case managers, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
  • Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and changing patient needs
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards
  • Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care guidelines
Requirements
  • Active RN License in South Dakota
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Acute Care nursing experience
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • ACLS Certification preferred
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple patients in a fast-paced acute care environment
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records and nursing documentation systems
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
