Job Title

Travel RN – Cardiovascular Surgery Unit (CVSU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours Guaranteed Per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to post-cardiac surgery patients in a cardiovascular surgery unit setting
• Monitor patients using GE monitoring equipment and document care using Cerner EMR?
• Maintain a patient ratio of 4:1, delivering safe and effective cardiac-focused nursing care
• Fulfill weekend shift requirements as part of the 6-week schedule rotation (4 weekend shifts per cycle)
• Float to other ICUs and, at times, med-surg units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiac or cardiovascular surgery nursing
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications (all AHA-issued)
• Hands-on experience with cardiac/cardiovascular surgery patient populations
• Ability to work night shifts (18:30–07:00)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Broader cardiac nursing background beyond CV surgery
• Outgoing, team-oriented personality with strong interpersonal communication skills
