Job Description
Job Title: Production Mixer Operator - Hilo (Night Shift)
Schedule
  • Night Shift: 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM (candidates hired for night shift will train for one week on first shift)
  • Pay: $23 / hour, both shifts
  • Pitman 2-2-3 Schedule:
    • Week 1: Work Tuesday & Wednesday; Off Thursday & Friday; Work Saturday, Sunday, & Monday
    • Week 2: Off Tuesday & Wednesday; Work Thursday & Friday; Off Saturday, Sunday, & Monday
    • This two-week rotation repeats.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate forklifts and manually load mixers and reactors.
  • Set up, run, and monitor mixer/reactor equipment according to specified procedures.
  • Package materials, prepare raw materials for production, and transport them to the appropriate areas.
  • Accurately identify and prepare required quantities of materials, reporting any deviations from normal procedures.
  • Record process start and finish times.
  • Check packaging materials and ensure correct labeling in accordance with established rules and instructions.
  • Perform initial testing and product release to verify compliance with specifications.
  • Monitor equipment to maintain desired run rates.
  • Follow all safety requirements, including wearing a respirator for over 20% of shift time.
  • Maintain a high level of physical activity throughout the shift.
Requirements
  • Ability to work the night shift as outlined above.
  • Comfortable performing physically demanding tasks, lifting 50 lbs, or more with assistance.
  • Willing to wear a respirator as needed.
  • Previous forklift experience.
  • Attention to detail in labeling and packaging.
  • Basic math and recordkeeping skills.
